CANON

Canon is on a path towards improved sustainability.
In a world of heightened awareness around corporate greenwashing, it is essential to communicate this in an honest way: not to make claims that can't be backed up. but to recognise that progress is the path to a
better future.

This is why the word 'progress' is so significant to Canon. It recognises Canon's own progress, while also nodding to that of Canon's customers and partners - for all of whom improving their sustainability credentials is becoming
top priority.

Sustainability Branding

What do you do when planning anything or drafting ideas? Most people sketch or write down thoughts on paper or doodle some shapes to get the imagination going, especially

when designing a plan to build something rigid like a building. You start on paper where nothing is perfect yet- it's the discovery phase of design thinking.

Iwanted to reflect this concept in the identifier because for Canon, sustainability is a work in progress: we are not there yet, but we are improving.

That's where this style came from: I wanted to show this imperfection but also progress and kindness.
