Bombay sapphire x Living room sessions

Experiential Design

Using design to maximise Bombay Sapphire’s sponsorship of the ‘Living Room Sessions’, an alternative music night.

Innovative design was used to draw attention earned by the DJ booth to the brand, delivering an experience that translates both on the ground and as shareable social media content.

Influencers were given unprecedented access to both the DJ booth and the creative products, which gave them multiple opportunities to snap and share.

◯ Conceptualised and executed a one-of-a-kind vinyl record design, integrating both visual and tactile experiences.

◯ Took the lead in decision-making, opting for a groundbreaking and engaging design approach.

◯ Meticulously selected printing techniques and materials to ensure the design's optimal reflection and interaction with the mirrored cup.

◯ Oversaw the entire production process, ensuring the highest quality in every detail of the vinyl, cup and cover.

◯ Positioned the design* as not just a musical artifact but also a piece of interactive art.

mechanism

A reflective stainless steel cup is placed on the design to transform the flat distorted image into a visually undistorted picture.

technique

The manipulated design is created by using the laws of the angles of the incidence of reflection.

This reduces the length of the flat drawing's curves when the image is viewed in a curved reflective cup, so that the distortions resolve into a recognizable picture.
